    About

    Dr. Amy Spurlock joined Boise State University in 2021, and is currently the Joanna "Jody" DeMeyer Endowed Chair in Nursing. She earned her Ph.D. in nursing, as well as a graduate certificate in applied statistics from the University of Kentucky, and her M.S.N. in nursing and community health from the University of Virginia, She earned her B.S.N. in nursing from James Madison University. At Kentucky, her dissertation focused on policy predictors of tobacco cessation. For the past twelve years, her scholarship has focused on the evaluation and use of blended tube feedings in children, and more recently, chronically ill adults. Her academic concentrations are evaluation methods/research methodology, and biostatistics. She has published numerous manuscripts in refereed journals, two book chapters and has presented her research nationally and internationally. Spurlock is a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau, International, the honor society of nursing and has served as a mentor in the Academic Leadership Academy.
