    Dr. Andrew L. Giacomazzi joined the faculty of the Department of Criminal Justice at Boise State University in 1998. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he now also serves as the associate dean for faculty development for the College of Social Sciences & Public Affairs. Dr. Giacomazzi has a Ph.D. in Political Science from Washington State University where he specialized in criminal justice, public administration, and applied policy studies. He also has an M.A. in Criminal Justice from Washington State, and two bachelor's degrees, in German and Social Ecology, from the University of California-Irvine. His research interests are in program evaluation, community policing and problem-solving, organizational change, crime control, crime in public housing, community crime prevention, and domestic violence.
