About

Dr. Anne Abbott started at Boise State University in 2023 and is currently an assistant professor with the School of Public and Population Health.  She earned a Ph.D. in community and behavioral health with a health communication sub-track from the University of Iowa and an M.P.P. in social policy concentration from George Mason University.  Dr. Abbott is an experienced evaluation and research professional with a demonstrated history of building evaluation capacity, and improving outcomes in health and human services programs.  She is currently a member of a number of organizations including the National Society for the Advancement of Violence and Injury Prevention Research (SAVIR) / Safe States, the Society for Health Communication, and the American Public Health Association to name a few.
