Dr. Arturo Rodriguez joined the faculty of the Department of Literacy, Language, and Culture at Boise State University in 2007. Focusing on Bilingual Education and the ESL program, before coming to Boise State he was a high school Spanish teacher. Dr. Rodriguez earned both an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico State University. He is interested in many facets of multicultural education including Freirean pedagogy, challenges faced by immigrant populations, and on-line learning. Dr. Rodriguez presents at conferences in both the national and international level, and serves on the Editorial Board, and as a reviewer, for the Journal for Critical Education Policy Studies.
