Dr. Benjamin C. Johnson joined Boise State University in the fall of 2018, and is currently an assistant professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.  He earned his Ph.D. and M.Eng in Electrical Engineering both from Cornell University and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma Christian University.  Dr. Johnson previously worked as an industry professional at Cortera Neurotechnologies, Inc. and was a visiting researcher at the University of California at Berkeley. His research interests lie at the intersection of integrated circuit design and neuroscience, with a more specific interest in how the brain works and leveraging low-power analog and mixed-signal technologies to investigate active problems in neuroscience research and neurological disorders.
