    About

    Dr. Bevin C. Daglen joined Boise State University as a lab instructor in 2020 before accepting the position of clinical assistant professor with the Department of Chemistry in 2024. She received her Ph.D. as well as her M.S. in chemistry from the University of Oregon, in 2008 and 2005 respectively. She received her B.S. in chemistry (ACS Certified Degree) here at Boise State in 2002. Dr. Daglen's research has involved studying the degradation process of photosensitive organometallic polymers in the solid-state. She also has years of experience helping elementary school teachers perform inquiry based science in the classroom, and she maintains a strong interest in encouraging individuals to become critical thinkers by using fundamental inquiry methods in scientific research. Dr. Daglen is devoted to the advancement of educational opportunities, as demonstrated through her founding and management of the University of Oregon’s Women in Graduate Sciences program. Additionally, she is a dedicated martial arts instructor, and leads experiential education school trips focused on science and the outdoors.
