Dr. Bri Lafond (she/her) joined Boise State University’s Center for Teaching and Learning in 2025 as an Educational Development Specialist specializing in writing pedagogy. She earned her PhD in English with a concentration in Writing Studies and a graduate minor in Queer Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where her research explored how writers and multimedia content creators navigate visibility, authorship, and agency in digital spaces. She also obtained her MA in Composition with dual emphases in Literature and Applied Linguistics/Teaching English as a Second Language from California State University San Bernardino. Her recent work explores how educators, students, and administrators respond to the opportunities and challenges posed by proprietary writing and composing technologies, such as generative AI.
