Dr. Catherine J. Paek joined Boise State University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management in 2022. She earned her doctorate in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as an M.A. and B.A. in Mass Communication, and a B.B.A. from Sogang University. Dr. Paek's research focuses on venture-backed entrepreneurs, exploring topics such as career mobility, gender, and entrepreneurial identity. She is an engaged member of the academic community, serving as an ad-hoc reviewer for the Strategic Management Society and the Academy of Management. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Paek is currently the co-founder and active entrepreneur of BorderX, Co., Ltd., a Seoul-based digital marketing agency.
