    Starting at Boise State University in 2016, Dr. Cindy E. McCrea is currently an assistant professor with the Department of Psychological Science. She earned a Ph.D. in biobehavioral health and an M.S. in nutritional sciences both from The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. McCrea is an experimental health psychologist by training. Her research looks into the impact of psychological patterns, emotions, and attitudes on the body and how those impacts contribute to or detract from wellness. Recent research investigates specifically looks closer at the effects of humor on risk perception. Dr. McCrea is currently a member of the American Heart Association, the American Psychosomatic Society, and the American Society of Nutrition.
