Research interests

Prof. Turner is a Principal Research Scholar at Boise State University in the Micron School for Materials Science and Engineering. Prior to joining Boise State, Dr Turner was an assistant professor at New York University. Dr. Turner is  experienced in physical chemistry, laser spectroscopy, quantum mechanics, machine learning, and software development in MATLAB & Python for instrumentation and statistical data analysis. 

Educational Background: 
Dr. Turner completed his BA in Mathematics and Chemistry in 2004 at Concordia College and his PhD in Physical Chemistry in 2010 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received NSF and NDSEG Graduate Fellowships. Following completion of this PhD, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Toronto.
