Dr. Douglas J. Myers started at Boise State University in 2019 and is currently an associate professor with the School of Public and Population Health. He received his Doctorate of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Dr. Myers’ research focuses Occupational Safety and Health with publications on U.S. child labor violations and occupational fatalities, surgical team risk exposures and aspects of health and safety regarding metal mining. He is currently a member in the Occupational Health and Safety Section of the American Public Health Association.
