Dr. Eric Landrum is a Professor with the Department of Psychology. He received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology with an emphasis in Quantitative Methodology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1989. Dr. Landrum's research has centered on college student success, specifically how to create a teaching and learning environment that allows students to achieve their academic goals. In addition to extensive publishing and teaching activities, Dr. Landrum has served as Department Chair, is a member of the Center for Teaching and Learning Advisory Board, and has sponsored a variety of student research projects. In 2012, Dr. Landrum won a national election to serve as president of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP), which is Division Two of the American Psychological Association. He will serve as president-elect in 2013 and president in 2014. Dr. Landrum was appointed by the STEM Station as the first Boise State University STEM Education Research Associate in 2013. This new faculty fellow position provides consultation and resources for STEM faculty in education research design, assessment and evaluation.
