Dr. Francesca Spezzano joined Boise State University in 2015 and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. She earned her Ph.D. in Systems and Computer Engineering, a M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, and a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering all at the University of Calabria. Dr. Spezzano’s professional experience includes a previous appointment as a Research Associate for the University of Maryland. Her research interests which fall in the database field focus on data exchange, logic programming, and the management of inconsistencies to name a few. More specifically some Dr. Spezzano’s research looks into reshaping terrorist networks, trolls and vandals within social media, and chase algorithm termination within databases.
