Dr. Grady Wright is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics. He holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Prior to joining Boise State University in 2007, he served as a NSF postdoctoral fellow at the University of Utah and as a visiting scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado.
Dr. Wright's general research interests are in computational and applied mathematics. In particular, he is interested in radial basis functions (RBFs) and other high-order methods for geophysical applications, especially geophysical flows in spherical and elliptical domains; multigrid, Krylov subspace, and high resolution methods for biological fluids; theory and application of property preserving RBFs; high performance computing on general purpose graphics processing units (GPGPU); and numerical software development.
Dr. Wright has received 3 interdisciplinary NSF grants since 2006 to support his research.
