About

Joining Boise State in 2016, Dr. Heather Witt is an Associate Professor with the School of Social Work.  She earned a Ph.D. in Education focusing on Human Sexuality, an MSW in Clinical Social Work and a M.Ed. in Human Sexuality all from Widener University.  Dr. Witt’s professional experience includes time as the Idaho Education Manager and Youth Development Specialist for Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest, and as a Program Supervisor and Clinical Social Worker for Social Work Counseling Services. Her current research interests focus on developing future social workers' understanding, knowledge, and skills within the realm of human rights and social justice, specifically related to human sexuality. Her past publications focus on the psychological well-being of US and Chinese elderly, fear of intimacy, body image, sexual anxiety, and infertility.
