Dr. Iryna Babik started at Boise State University in 2019 and is currently an assistant professor with the Department of Psychological Sciences. She received a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology with a minor in Educational Research Methodology and an M.A. in Developmental Psychology both from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Dr. Babik is interested in the development of motor control and coordination, early intervention and rehabilitation of motor skills during infancy and early childhood, as well as the relation between motor and cognitive development. She is involved in testing the effectiveness of different wearable devices aimed at improving the child’s upper-extremity mobility, reaching, and object exploration in children with arthrogryposis, hemiplegia, cerebral palsy, and prenatal/perinatal brain injury.
