Dr. Jaclyn J. Kettler received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from Rice University and a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Baker University. Her research focuses on American Politics with an emphasis on state politics, political parties, campaigns and elections, and women in politics. Her dissertation compares the state political parties using social network analysis and campaign contributions. In this research, she also explores how the role of candidates in party networks impacts their career in the state legislature.
Ms. Kettler is a reviewer for the American Journal of Political Science and Political Research Quarterly. She has participated in various conferences presenting on the financial aspects of campaigns and political interests. In addition, she has served as a research assistant for the Douglas S. Harlan Program in State Elections, Campaigns, and Politics.
