Dr. James R. Buffenbarger started at Boise State University in 1997 and is currently an Associate Professor and the Second-Degree Coordinator with the Department of Computer Science. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis, a M.S. from San Jose State University, and a B.S. from California State University, Hayward, all focusing on Computer Science. His professional experience includes being a research consultant for such companies as Hewlett-Packard and TenXsys. He is currently a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
