Dr. James McNamara is Chair and Professor of the Department of Geosciences. His research interests include hydrology and geomorphology. Teaching interests include hydrology, hydrogeology, hydrologic modeling, and geomorphology. Dr. McNamara's work with students have allowed them to conduct field and modeling experiments to investigate the mechanisms by which water moves through the various components of a watershed, and the consequences that those processes have on the landscape and stream environments. He recently published articles in the Vadose Zone Journal and the Hydrology and Earth System Science journal.
