About
Jared Flake joined Boise State University in 2024 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accountancy. He received his Ph.D. in accounting from the Boston College, Carroll School of Management in 2023. He received his M.Acc. and B.S. in accounting from the Brigham Young University, Marriott School of Business in 2018. Flake's research interests lie in the intersection of voluntary disclosure and information intermediaries, particularly in the incentives and consequences around managers' disclosure choices and their interactions with sell-side analysts and investors. Through his research, he seeks to understand the determinants of firms’ information environments and the efficient allocation of capital.
