About
Dr. Javier Ochoa-Repáraz started at Boise State University in 2022 and is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Biological Sciences. He earned his Doctorate in Biological Sciences and a B.S. in Biology both from the University of Navarra in Spain, and he received postdoctoral training at Montana State University and at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. His research is focused on host-microbial interactions and the mechanisms of immune-activation and immunomodulation induced by intestinal microbes in the context of CNS inflammatory demyelination, specifically in MS. He has experience with different models of infection and autoimmunity, and industry experience in MS, neuroimmunology, and drug development.
