    Dr. Jennifer Miner Weaver earned a Ph.D. in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine, and then spent several years as a post-doctoral research associate at the University of North Carolina studying the cognitive, emotional, and physiological contributors to early school success. She joined the faculty of the Department of Psychology at Boise State University in January 2012. Dr. Weaver also has an M.A. in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Oregon. Her research interests include parenting and the family's role in children's social development, how risks (such as parental mental health problems, divorce, or inadequate parenting) in children's environments may alter their developmental trajectories over time, and adoptive parent-child relationships.
