Joining Boise State University in 2015, Dr. John D. Clemens is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Mathematics. He received his Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Clemens’ professional experience includes appointments at Penn State University, the University of Münster, and Southern Illinois University. Dr. Clemens is a referee for several journals including Journal of Mathematical Logic, Fundamenta Mathematicæ, and Journal of Symbolic Logic. In 2008 he served as a consultant to Scientific Games, providing an audit of odds for a Pennsylvania State Lottery game. His primary research area is Descriptive Set Theory, with Dynamical Systems and Ergodic Theory being second.
