    Dr. Karen R. Nicholas joined Boise State University in the fall of 2018 and is currently a clinical associate professor with the Department of Management specializing in organizational behavior.  She earned her Ph.D. in Management from West Virginia University and her Masters of Entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University.  Dr. Nicholas previous profession experience includes time as a Senior Trainer and Business Analyst for Wolters Kulwer Inc. Her current research interests focus on strategic management topics regarding firms’ external environment; specifically, examining how the external environment and firms are impacted by one another. Dr. Nicholas is currently a member of the Academy of Management, the Southern Management Association, and the Strategic Management Society.
