About

Dr. Kathleen M. Conley started at Boise State University in 2023 and is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Community Engagement.  She received both a Ph.D. and M.S. in special education from the University of Oregon and a B.A. in teacher education from Bushnell University.  Dr. Conley has worked with educators throughout the U.S. and abroad on building data systems to improve the social climate and student behavioral supports. Specific activities include development of training materials and online tools, delivering professional development workshops, and supporting various research efforts related to Special Education and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). She emphasizes the collection and analysis of comprehensive data sources that monitor dimensions of adult implementation activities as well as aspects of student performance. Dr. Conley believes that data should align with local values and be regularly shared across community members, families, students, and school personnel. When all stakeholders take ownership of educational data then success as well as challenges are shared.
