Dr. Kruti S. Chaliawala joined Boise State University in 2024 as an assistant professor with the  School of Public and Population Health. She earned her Ph.D. in health education from the University of Cincinnati in 2024. She earned her M.S in wellness management – health promotion sciences, and her M.A. in forensic psychology, both from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2021 and 2016 respectively. She also holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma: a B.S. in forensic science and a B.A. in criminal justice, both earned in 2014. Dr. Chaliawala's research interests lie in the intersection of sexual health, psychological well-being, and the experiences of international students. She has investigated topics such as adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), the sexual health of international students, and health disparities among minority populations. Dr. Chaliawala has co-authored impactful presentations and posters on these topics, as well as having her research published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. As a health educator and mentor, she inspires her students to pursue holistic health education and advocates for tailored support and interventions for college students. She is dedicated to promoting sex positivity and health education on college campuses and fostering inclusivity and understanding in public health.
