    About

    ​​Dr. Linsey A. Belisle started at Boise State University in 2023 and is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Criminal Justice.  She earned a Ph.D. in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, an M.S. in criminal justice administration from North Dakota State University, and a B.A. in psychology from Bushnell University.  Dr. Belisle is trained as an applied criminologist and focuses her teaching and research on helping advance the treatment of justice-involved individuals, promote inclusivity, and advance equitable and evidence-based treatment of justice-involved individuals, particularly those disproportionately impacted by the system. Her research focuses on evidence-based correctional practices, gender-responsive practices and policies, risk/needs assessments, substance misuse, criminal justice pedagogy, and harm reduction.
