Dr. Edward McLean Test joined the faculty of the Department of English at Boise State University in 2008. He has a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of California-Santa Barbara, an M.A. in English Literature, with an emphasis in Creative Writing, from Portland State, and a B.A. from Carleton College.
Dr. Test's current book project, titled 'Consuming the Americas: Myths, Markets and the New World Environment, 1500-1700', is an interdisciplinary study of England’s material and textual appropriation of the New World environment and culture in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. He is also an active translator both from Spanish to English, and English to Spanish, and a published poet.
