Dr. Matthew J. Castel is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Information Technology & Supply Chain Management.  He joins Boise State University after receiving his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus on Operations and Sourcing Management and Marketing from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad School of Business where he also received a Master of Science in Manufacturing and Engineering Management, and he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State’s College of Engineering.  Dr. Castel is a member of the Decision Sciences Institute (SI), INFORMS, and the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), and he was an ad-hoc reviewer for the Decision Sciences Journal.
