Starting at Boise State University in 2018, Dr. Michal A. Kopera is currently an associate professor with the Department of Mathematics. He received both his Ph.D. in Engineering and his M.S. in Scientific Computing from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, and his M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology in Poland. Dr. Kopera’s research interests lie amongst mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, computational fluid dynamics and high-performance scientific computing. His work aims to build scalable and efficient models that can take advantage of massively parallel computing systems to tackle multi-scale problems arising in different areas of science.
