    Dr. Nick Miller joined the faculty of the Department of History at Boise State University in 1993. He holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in History from Indiana University, and a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara. Dr. Miller’s research focus is on the lands of the former Yugoslavia. His publications include articles on Serbian and Croatian history before the First World War and Serbian politics and culture since 1945, and his research has taken him on extensive travels throughout Eastern Europe. He has been a recipient of fellowships from the International Research and Exchanges Board, the Andrew Mellon Foundation, the American Council of Learned Societies, and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. His expertise has been widely shared through publications, presentations, and through the media where he has been interviewed both locally and for NPR. Dr. Miller has recently been involved in an effort to promote creative and humanistic collaborations through the creation of the Arts and Humanities Institute at Boise State University, where he serves as Director.
