    Dr. Nicole Brun-Mercer joined Boise State University in 2021 as the Associate Director of English Language Support in the Department of Linguistics. She earned her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics (with distinction) from Northern Arizona University, and her M.S. in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (with honors) from California State University – Fullerton. She additionally attended the Ecole de Traduction et Interprétation (School of Translation and Interpretation) in Geneva, Switzerland in 2000, and in 1996 obtained her B.A. in Language Studies (with honors) from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Dr. Brun-Mercer has taught English and trained teachers in the United States, Switzerland, France, Russia, and Guinea. She has published and presented professionally on materials development, corpus linguistics, lexicogrammar, reading, and composition.
