    Starting at Boise State University 2012, Dr. Raymond J. Krohn is currently an assistant professor with the Department of History. He earned a Ph.D. in History from Purdue University and an M.A. in History from Youngstown State University. Among Dr. Krohn’s research foci is 19th century U.S. History, particularly slavery, abolitionism, and social reform movements. As an educator his overriding goal is to convey the complexity of history, the variety of past experiences, and the multiple, intricate, and contingent origins and outcomes of historical events and developments. Dr. Krohn is currently a member of the American Historical Association and the Society for Historians of the Early American Republic.
