    Dr. Reshmi Mukherjee started at Boise State University in 2014 as the Interim Director of Gender Studies and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of English. She received a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a minor in Gender Studies, and a M.A. in Comparative Literurature and an M.Phil. in Women’s Studies both from Jadavpur University in Calcutta, India. Dr. Mukherjee's research focuses on the representations of race, gender, sexuality, and subalternity in sub-Saharan, Arab Anglophone, and South Asian literature; transnational approaches to studying and teaching diasporic, exilic, testimonio, and refugee narratives; postcolonial theory, transnational feminism, and culture studies.
