    Rose Whiting is currently a Clinical Associate Professor with the Department of Biological Sciences.  She earned a Masters in Boise State University’s Biomolecular Sciences Program, and will be finishing her PhD in Fall 2022.  Ms. Whiting’s recent research focuses on the biophysics of membranes and her recent presentations have covered the topics of the mechanical transport properties of lipid membranes as well as the effects of mechanical stress and the TRPV4 (a gene that regulates bone metabolism) on the cells of the immune system.  She is a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology and a licensed Medical Laboratory Scientist.
