Dr. Ryan J. Baxter is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Accounting at Boise State University. Prior to BSU he was an Associate Professor of Accountancy at Bentley University. He earned his Ph.D. in Information Systems from Case Western Reserve University, an M.Acc. and a B.S. in Accounting, and an A.A.S. with an emphasis on Business from Brigham Young University. Prior to academia, he worked for KPMG in the Silicon Valley as an IT Auditor also earning his CPA (currently inactive). Dr. Baxter has published and presented a number of articles about Enterprise Risk Management, Information Quality/Security/Control, Healthcare IT, and Telemedicine. He has been a peer reviewer for various journals and conferences including MIS Quarterly, the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, and the International Conference on Information Systems to name a few. He is currently an active member of the American Accounting Association (Accounting Information Systems Section).
