Serena Hicks started at Boise State University in 2015 and is a Clinical Instructor for the Department of Curriculum, Instruction & Foundational Studies. She earned an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, and a M.A. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from Northwest Nazarene University, and a B.A. in Education, Secondary from the University of Idaho. Ms. Hicks' previous instructional experience includes being an adjunct professor for Northwest Nazarene University specializing in instructional models and reading intervention, an Education Assessment Consultant/Coordinator and a Literacy Consultant for the Idaho Commission on the Arts, and an English Language Arts Teacher, secondary for the West Ada School District among other positions. She is currently a member of the Idaho Middle Level Association.
