Starting at Boise State University in 2022, Dr. Shelby K. Gonzales is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Counselor Education.  She earned her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, Ed.S. in Counselor Education, and B.A. in Experimental Psychology all from the University of South Carolina.  Dr. Gonzales’ recent research focuses on counselor wellness, and creating an integrated understanding from within the counselor education system for a better understanding of counselors’ roles and responsibilities professionally.  She is a member of a number of professional associations including the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling, the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the American Counseling Association to name a few.
