    Dr. Todd Norton is the Head of the Department of Communication and an Associate Professor at Boise State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Utah focusing on Environmental Communication and Strategic Communication. Dr. Norton teaches undergraduate courses in media studies, organizational communication, public communication, and strategic communication. His research emphasis is public outreach and communication campaigns in complex, often contentious environmental-health issues. His current work focuses on perceptions of risk, vulnerability, differences of issue orientation, and contestation among stakeholders in water contaminants and nonpoint source pollution. Dr. Norton’s research appears in such publication as the Journal of Applied Communication Research, Human Ecology Review, and Communication Theory to name a few.
