Tom Gattiker, Ph.D., CFPIM, is the Chair and a professor of the Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management at Boise State University. Before obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia (2000), he held a variety of positions in operations and inventory management, most recently at Rockwell Automation/Reliance Electric. He is certified in production and inventory management (CFPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society and he is a past president of that organization's Athens, Georgia chapter.
Dr. Gattiker's research focuses on environmentally sustainable supply management, as well as on the use of information systems, including e-commerce systems, in operations and supply chain management. His research appears in The Journal of Operations Management, The Journal of Supply Chain Management, The International Journal of Production Research, MIS Quarterly, Information and Management, Production and Inventory Management Journal, Quality Management Journal, Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education, and other journals and books. He is an associate editor at the Journal of Supply Chain Management and a member of the editorial review boards of the Journal of Operations Management and Quality Management Journal.
