About

Starting at Boise State University in 2017, Dr. T. Trevor Caughlin is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Florida and his B.A. in Environmental Studies and Biology from New College of Florida.  Dr. Caughlin studies how events in the life cycle of trees impact forest dynamics at landscape scales. His research uses mathematical models to extend insights from ecological field data to larger scales and longer time periods, and his current research focuses on developing models to predict restoration outcomes across large areas, thus determining how to scale up ecological restoration of tropical forests from sites to landscapes.
