About

Dr. Zach Teitler came to Boise State University as an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Mathematics in 2010. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in
2005 and taught from 2005-2010 at Southeastern Louisiana and Texas A&M Universities.
Dr. Teitler has published articles and made numerous presentations sharing his research
interests in algebraic geometry and commutative algebra, including arrangements (of
hyperplanes, points, etc); multiplier ideals (computation, applications to commutative
algebra); secant varieties, computing rank, and Hilbert functions; and computer
experimentation in mathematics.
