Project Details

Description

This funding serves as the contribution by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) to the work of the Convergence Partnership (the Partnership), which is working toward building a Culture of Health by creating a nation in which every community fosters health, prosperity, and well-being for all. The activities planned for this grant include implementing short-term activities that prepare the Partnership for the next two years; creating and launching funding initiatives that support community-improvement and field-building efforts; informing national policy development by engaging advocates and practitioners in promoting policy strategies that will advance equitable and healthy communities; and regularly disseminating success stories and learning to the field. Deliverables will include the strategic plan document that will lay out Partnership activities. These activities will include: (1) supporting community-improvement and field-building efforts; (2) advocacy efforts for increased investment in and policies to improve health in low-income communities and communities of color; and (3) spreading best practices, tools, resources, and success stories. The Partnership will not use Foundation dollars for lobbying.
