Abstract

In this exciting session, the presenters will describe a research-based approach for teaching students with extensive support needs to write in the context of academic instruction. Presenters will translate findings from several recent studies into practical procedures that can be implemented by parents and educators for students in grades K-12. Participants will be able to: 1. Implement a simple strategy for improving their student writing performance. 2. Embed meaningful writing instruction across multiple content areas.
