Abstract
“As professionals—regardless of what we call ourselves—we are responsible for the consequences of what we use, do, and deliver. Contending that we cannot push on higher levels of results and consequences of our planning, doing, and delivering because it is ‘too complex’ is abandoning our responsibilities to our profession and our very partners in life. Dumbing-down (pandering to the lowest common denominator) our approach and processes for evaluation and continuous improvement is not only not helpful, it is unethical.” (Kaufman, 1997, p. 23-24).
