Abstract
Over two decades ago, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention began collecting biennial, nationwide data on the health risk behaviors of high school students with the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). This paper presents preliminary findings of a statistical analysis of YRBS data, with a specific focus on teen dating violence. In addition to time series analyses, state-level data are compared and contrasted. Behavioral correlates of teen dating violence, such as alcohol and drug abuse, are also examined.
