N2 - We have developed, fabricated, and packaged memristive devices comprised of chalcogenide materials and used these devices in practical simple circuit applications in order to characterize their operational behavior. In this work, we describe the use of these memristive devices in the control of a LEGO Mindstorm NXT servo motor. By characterizing the behavior of our memristive devices within well controlled and isolated tests, we have successfully built a memristor programming and reading circuit out of commonly available off the shelf parts and explored the behavior of our memristive device by using a LEGO Mindstorms NXT's 10-bit analog to digital converter to read the state of the memristor. Using the NXT, we are able to stream data to a computer for large-time-scale memristive behavior logging and to control the speed of an NXT servo motor with the state of a memristor.
