Abstract

The control of a multilevel converter using resultant theory was discussed. The cascade multilevel inverter consists of a series of H-bridge (single-phase full-bridge) inverter units. With enough levels and an appropriate switching algorithm, the multilevel inverter resulted in an output voltage that was almost sinusoidal.
