Abstract
The development of soft skills is receiving greater attention because these skills are necessary for success in today’s workforce. Soft skills include capabilities and character traits such as effective communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and empathy. As technology improves and becomes more automated, the need for soft skills is becoming more important. However, employers report difficulty finding candidates who possess sufficient soft skills. This gap in soft skills also is present in the health care field.
