Abstract

A synthesis of published paleoglacial research and cartographic overview of landscape features in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia indicate three broadly synchronous glacial advances: two during MIS 2, culminating at 25-20 and ~ 16 ka, and one at 13.0-12.5 ka, possibly associated with the Younger Dryas chron.
